Rosoft Engineering proudly introduces the latest release of Rosoft CD Extractor, Lame Edition. This program has evolved a lot since the very first release of Rosoft CD Extractor. More than two years has passed since the very first version of the program was released back in September 1999. The most important updates is the support for mp3 encoders and possibility to extract Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA) to mp3 files. In 2001 we sold the program with a Fraunhofer MP3 Encoder but due to the huge patent fee we no longer sell the Fraunhofer MP3 Encoder. But this works as front end updates for the DLL file that came with the Fraunhofer Editions. This edition, the Lame Edition supports the mp3 format whit help of the file lame_enc.dll. The file Lame_enc.dll is a freeware mp3 encoder that can be downloaded through the URL http://www.RosoftEngineering.com/cgi/lameenc.cgi or at our download page. The program is very easy to use once you got the hang of it. Generally you only have to do four steps to record tracks. Enter the CD you want to extract files from. Download the track names from FreeDB. Select the track you want to record and press the double record button, the one with do red dots. Set the General Options if needed and make sure you have a valid Directory selected.
